Reliance Industries Data Centre Campus - Andhra Pradesh, India

Reliance Industries, through its Jio Platforms digital infrastructure arm, is developing a major data centre campus in Andhra Pradesh, India, as part of the state's broader strategy to position Visakhapatnam and other key cities as AI and digital infrastructure hubs. The project is one of several major data centre announcements tied to the Andhra Pradesh government's investment attraction programme, alongside Google's $15 billion AI Hub and Tillman Global Holdings' TDGAP1 campus, reflecting the state's exceptional combination of power availability, strategic coastal location, and growing digital economy. Reliance Industries is India's largest private sector company, with Jio Platforms operating one of the world's largest telecommunications networks with over 450 million subscribers. The company's data centre expansion reflects its broader digital infrastructure strategy, including the development of AI and cloud services under the Jio brand, partnerships with international technology companies, and the company's ambition to become India's leading integrated digital services provider. The Andhra Pradesh campus is expected to support Reliance's AI and cloud infrastructure requirements as well as third-party enterprise and government customers. India's data centre market is experiencing rapid expansion, with the country targeting more than 8.9GW of total supply by the late 2020s compared to approximately 1.2GW of live capacity in 2025. Andhra Pradesh's unique combination of coastal connectivity, availability of renewable energy resources, and strong state government support through streamlined regulatory approvals and infrastructure incentives makes it one of the most attractive new data centre markets in South Asia. Reliance's presence alongside global hyperscalers further validates the state's emergence as a world-class digital infrastructure destination.
