Hyperscale AI data center campus planned in Pindamonhangaba, São Paulo, Brazil; 150MW initial phase expanding to 300MW with waterless cooling.
RiverHook Village 18 is a large-scale hyperscale AI data center campus planned for the city of Pindamonhangaba, in the interior of São Paulo state, Brazil. Announced in April 2026, the project is set to become one of the largest digital infrastructure developments in South America, spanning more than 500,000 square metres along Via Estrutural — a new highway connecting SP-62 to the Feital Industrial District. The initial phase will deliver 150MW of installed capacity, with a long-term expansion pathway to 300MW and a total investment that could reach R$10 billion (approximately $1.9 billion USD).
The campus is designed specifically to serve hyperscale cloud infrastructure providers and AI-driven enterprises requiring massive processing capacity. Notably, the facility is being built with waterless cooling technology, a critical environmental consideration in a region facing increasing pressure on water resources. This solution eliminates the need for traditional evaporative cooling towers, which consume millions of litres of water annually in large-scale facilities, positioning RiverHook Village 18 as a sustainable digital infrastructure anchor for the region.
Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with the facility targeting operational status in June 2028. The project is led by RiverHook Village, incorporated in November 2025, in partnership with consulting firms Indo-Bras United and LetsGoFusion. The initiative was formally launched under the Investe Pinda municipal investment attraction platform, with the support of Pindamonhangaba Mayor Ricardo Piorino. The city secured an additional 150MW of dedicated grid capacity specifically to serve the campus, with potential to double that allocation in future phases.
