noris network's Nuremberg South (Nürnberg Süd) data center is a high-security, scalable colocation facility operated by noris network AG. The site delivers at least 99.999% annual availability for both power and cooling, backed by AlwaysOn 2N-redundant UPS across A- and B-feeds, redundant utility connections, and backup generators with at least 72 hours of full-load fuel reserves under a 24/7 refuelling contract. The facility runs on 100% renewable energy.
Cooling is provided via KyotoCooling technology, enabling free cooling for more than 90% of the year without the high energy consumption of mechanical compressors, with hot/cold aisle containment. Network connectivity is multiply redundant and carrier-neutral, with a total capacity of 48 Tbit/s and geo-redundant DDI links to Munich East at up to 1.99 ms latency.
Security features include 24/7 on-site security, biometric access control, video surveillance, perimeter fencing with security gates, a room-in-room concept, and advanced fire detection with nitrogen inertisation and OxyReduct oxygen reduction. The facility carries extensive certifications and offers high-density racks supporting up to 24 kVA per rack.
