noris network's Nuremberg South data centre is a high-security, scalable facility with 2N redundancy for power and cooling. Energy and cooling availability are each stated at 99.999% per year, with AlwaysOn UPS on A and B feeds, on-site generators with at least 72 hours of fuel at full load, and 100% use of renewable energy.
Cooling uses KyotoCooling, which noris says allows more than 90% of the year without mechanical compressor cooling, together with hot-aisle containment. The site is carrier-neutral with backbone availability of 99.99%, aggregate network capacity of 48 Tbit/s, and connections from 100 Mbit/s to 500 Gbit/s.
Security features include 24/7 on-site guards, biometric access, video surveillance, a room-in-room design, and nitrogen inerting with OxyReduct oxygen reduction. The second construction phase is aligned to TÜViT TSI Level 4 requirements.
