Edged's Council Bluffs data centre campus, known as Project Lola, is a major AI-ready infrastructure development located at College Road and East Kanesville Boulevard in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The campus comprises two buildings, each spanning approximately 285,445 sq ft (26,520 sqm), with the first building having achieved structural topping-out in June 2026 and the second targeted for completion in September 2026. Once fully built, the site will deliver a combined total of approximately 200MW of critical power capacity across the two-building campus.
Council Bluffs, situated on Iowa's western border and in close proximity to Omaha, Nebraska, is an established data centre market that benefits from access to abundant renewable energy, competitive power rates, and excellent fibre connectivity. The Edged site was previously approved for logistics park development in 2021 but remained undeveloped until Edged broke ground in October 2025. Turner Construction serves as the general contractor on the project, which is being developed to AI-ready specifications to support high-density GPU deployments and hyperscale workloads.
Formerly known as Edged Energy, Edged is part of the Endeavour group established by Aligned Data Centers founder Jakob Carnemark. The company is pursuing a multi-market strategy with data centres in development across the US (including Missouri, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Iowa, Ohio, and Illinois) and Europe (Bilbao, Madrid, Barcelona in Spain, and Lisbon, Portugal). Project Lola in Council Bluffs represents a significant commitment to the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan market and the broader Midwest data centre ecosystem.
