SQUAN Launches Data Center Practice to Own Connectivity from OSP to Rack
Carlstadt, N.J.-based telecommunications and network infrastructure firm SQUAN has launched a data center practice intended to act as a single accountable partner from outside plant (OSP) through rack-level inside plant (ISP). The company announced the practice on 26 August 2026.
SQUAN said AI and hyperscale growth are making data center connectivity harder to deliver as more vendors and teams must come online together, and as operators adapt existing infrastructure for higher-density fiber. The new practice is positioned as one owner across that route rather than a string of separate scopes.
According to the company, the practice covers:
- rack and infrastructure work
- connectivity and transport construction
- validation and testing, including bidirectional signal integrity checks and pre-activation certification
- asset audit and lifecycle services
- Day 2 operational support from on-site technical teams
“The ability to execute holistically to reduce problems that occur between scopes is a significant differentiator for us. By bringing OSP construction, engineering services, ILA, and data center ISP capabilities together, we can provide a single point of ownership across the entire route.”
