VisionWave Holdings, a Nasdaq-listed drone and autonomous vehicle technology company, is planning a Tier IV underground data center in Beth Shemesh, Israel, in partnership with Lucky Whale Production Limited through a joint venture. The proposed facility will be located adjacent to the Galilee Medical Center and is designed to operate as a hardened, blast-resistant underground facility — providing a high level of physical security and resilience well suited to the Israeli market's requirements.
Phase I of the campus will comprise approximately 15,000 square metres (161,460 sq ft) across ten data halls, targeting 10.5MW of IT load with a 2N redundant power and cooling topology. The liquid-cooled facility is targeting Tier IV certification from the Uptime Institute, the highest redundancy classification available. VisionWave will hold a 51 percent effective interest in the project through its 68 percent stake in the JV, with the current landowner retaining 25 percent of the project company.
Israel has a growing data centre market driven by the country's tech sector and demand for sovereign, highly secure infrastructure. Beth Shemesh is located approximately 30km west of Jerusalem in central Israel, with good motorway connectivity and proximity to Israel's primary tech corridors. The underground design offers natural temperature advantages and significant resilience against both physical and cyber threats, positioning this facility as a unique option in the Israeli market.
