Stream Chicago I (ORDA1) is Stream Data Centers' first facility in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, strategically located to optimize total cost of ownership, minimize risk, and maximize network connectivity and sustainability. The property was acquired in December 2017 and after successful reconstruction became a 155,189 square foot facility that was fully leased and expanded for a major cloud customer by the end of 2020.
The facility benefits from ComEd's nation-leading power reliability, sales tax exemptions, readily available robust fiber optic connectivity, and access to affordable renewable power options. ORDA1 connects customers to all major cloud providers and provides outstanding network connectivity in the greater Chicago metropolitan area.
Stream Data Centers has continued to invest in the Elk Grove Village market, developing Chicago II (226,000 SF, 32 MW) and Chicago III (ORDC), a two-story facility set to deliver 40 MW, demonstrating sustained demand for data center services in northern Illinois.
