Raxio UG1 is Uganda's first Tier III-certified, carrier- and cloud-neutral data centre, located in Namanve Industrial Park 15 km from Kampala CBD along the Kampala-Jinja Highway. Opened in 2021, the purpose-built facility provides 1,000 m² of white space on a single floor accommodating up to 400 racks with 1.5 MW of IT power capacity. The facility features 2N power redundancy from MV transformer to rack PDU, energy-efficient indirect adiabatic cooling, 7-minute UPS autonomy, and 48-hour fuel backup storage. Security includes seven layers of protection with 24x7x365 manned guards, VESDA smoke detection, and gas suppression. Raxio UG1 hosts 15 connectivity providers, two dedicated Meet Me Rooms, and provides access to multiple cloud service providers and internet exchange points.
