Mystery tech firm targets ~800-acre campus in Solon Township near Grand Rapids via Venerly LLC (Project Peninsula).
An unnamed technology firm, operating through Venerly LLC, is exploring development of an approximately 800-acre data center campus in Solon Township, Kent County, Michigan. Known internally as Project Peninsula, the development would involve over $1 billion in investment and 600,000–800,000 sq ft of space across multiple buildings near US-131 and 17 Mile Road, outside Cedar Springs and Grand Rapids. The company confirmed it is not Microsoft. A six-month moratorium on data center proposals was imposed by the township in February 2026.
