Microsoft Vaasa Data Center is a planned Microsoft cloud data centre in Vaasa, Finland. Pre-construction work began in mid-July 2026 on a 469.5-acre site spanning the municipal border between Vaasa and Mustasaari (Korsholm) on Finland's west coast, within the GigaVaasa industrial zone.
Microsoft acquired the land in June 2026 and submitted building permit applications in mid-August 2026. Destia is the main contractor for construction works. The company has said it will provide updates on the construction timeline once permits proceed.
The facility forms part of Microsoft's first cloud region in Finland, announced in 2022. Microsoft is also developing related Finnish sites, including waste-heat projects with Fortum in Kirkkonummi and Espoo, and construction in Vihti.
