Maska Group Data Centre - Miskin, Rhondda Cynon Taf
Proposed 18,220 sqm two-storey data centre in Miskin, Rhondda Cynon Taf, South Wales. Part of the UK South Wales AI Growth Zone.
Developer Maska Group has submitted plans for a new data centre facility in Miskin, a village in Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT), South Wales. The proposed facility is located on a vacant plot of land east of the A4119 at Mwyndy Cross, near the M4 motorway, providing excellent connectivity to Cardiff and the wider UK motorway network.
The proposed development includes a two-storey data centre building of approximately 18,220 square metres (196,140 sq ft), accompanied by a three-storey office block and a dedicated servicing and energy plant with chillers. The application was filed with Rhondda Cynon Taf Borough Council by Maska Group, a developer and asset manager with offices in London and Manchester.
The facility falls within the South Wales AI Growth Zone designated by the UK government, an area where data centre developments are actively encouraged through business incentives and priority power access. South Wales is emerging as a key region for digital infrastructure investment, with several hyperscale and edge developments underway in the area.
