Google's Singapore data centre campus, established from 2013 in the Jurong West district, was the company's first data centre in Southeast Asia and remains a cornerstone of its Asia Pacific infrastructure. The facility incorporates innovative sustainable cooling systems that use recycled water, reflecting Google's commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its operations.
By 2024, Google had completed its fourth Singapore data centre facility, bringing total infrastructure investment in the country to US$5 billion. The campus benefits from Singapore's reliable power grid, business-friendly regulatory environment, and extensive subsea cable connectivity. Google has also committed to training 5,500 Singaporeans in digital skills through the Skills Ignition SG programme, launched in partnership with the Singaporean government.
