Google's Montgomery County data centre in Clarksville, Tennessee is a major hyperscale facility that opened in 2019, following an announcement in 2015. Google has invested more than $6 billion in the state of Tennessee since the facility was built, and the company's presence generated $11.4 billion of economic activity for Tennessee businesses in 2025.
The facility supports Google's global cloud and services platform and reflects the company's commitment to large-scale infrastructure investment in the southeastern United States. Google's Tennessee operations have also supported significant community initiatives, including digital skills training for more than 192,000 Tennesseans through Grow with Google.
Since 2006, Google and Googlers have provided more than $20 million in philanthropic funding to Tennessee organisations and nonprofits, and the company has trained more than 6,000 small businesses through its Tennessee Digital Coach programme.
