Google's Eemshaven data centre in the Netherlands is part of Google's global cloud infrastructure, first opened in December 2016. The facility matches 100% of its electricity consumption with renewable energy purchases, primarily from wind power projects across the Netherlands and Europe. Google has invested over €600 million in the Eemshaven campus and has contributed more than €1.7 billion annually to the Dutch GDP through its operations.
