160-acre West Texas campus converted from crypto mining to AI/HPC. Up to 800MW capacity, leased to CoreWeave under a 15-year agreement.
The Galaxy Digital Helios Campus is a large-scale data centre facility situated on 160 acres in the panhandle region of West Texas, Dickens County. Originally developed as a cryptocurrency mining operation and acquired by Galaxy Digital from Argo Blockchain in late 2022, the campus has since been pivoted to support artificial intelligence and high-performance computing workloads.
CoreWeave, a leading AI cloud provider, has committed to lease the full 800MW of approved capacity at the Helios campus, with an average annual revenue of more than $1 billion over the 15-year term. Construction is underway to support multiple phases of this deployment, with the first data halls already handed over. Galaxy has an additional 1.7GW of capacity in various stages of study at the campus site.
The Helios campus is one of the most significant conversions of a former cryptocurrency mining operation into an AI infrastructure facility. Its behind-the-meter power approach and extensive site provide substantial room for continued expansion, making it a strategic long-term asset for Galaxy's data centre and AI hosting business.
