Equinix BK2 - Bangkok

Equinix BK2 is the second International Business Exchange (IBX) data centre planned by Equinix in Bangkok, Thailand. Announced alongside BK1 in 2024, the BK2 facility is part of Equinix's dual-facility campus strategy in Thailand, which aims to create a resilient, redundant interconnection hub in the Thai capital. Together, BK1 and BK2 will provide significant carrier-neutral colocation capacity to support Thailand's ambitious digital transformation agenda. The Bangkok campus strategy reflects Equinix's commitment to establishing Thailand as a key node in its Asia-Pacific interconnection network. BK2 will offer diverse connectivity options, with access to multiple submarine cable systems landing in Thailand, including those connecting to Singapore, India, and the broader Asia-Pacific region. This connectivity, combined with access to Equinix's global cloud and network ecosystem, makes the Bangkok campus an attractive location for businesses seeking to expand their operations in Southeast Asia. As Thailand attracts increasing interest from hyperscale cloud providers and enterprises seeking ASEAN digital infrastructure, the BK2 facility will play an important role in meeting this demand. The facility will be designed to Equinix's highest energy efficiency standards, contributing to the company's climate commitment goals and aligning with Thailand's own sustainability targets for the digital sector.
