Edged's Mesa, Arizona facility is a planned 126,000 sq ft data centre using waterless ThermalWorks cooling with PUE 1.15, serving the Phoenix hyperscale market.
Edged's Phoenix, Arizona data centre in Mesa is a planned facility located on a 14-acre site in the Mesa area of Phoenix, filing to develop a 126,000 sq ft (11,705 sqm) data centre with Edged's signature waterless cooling technology. The facility is part of Edged's rapid US expansion programme, building on established operations in Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago, Illinois, with the Phoenix market representing one of the most significant and active data centre hubs in the United States. Phoenix's combination of available land, competitive power rates, and excellent connectivity have made it a preferred location for hyperscale and enterprise data centre investment.
The Mesa facility will use Edged's ThermalWorks proprietary waterless cooling system, which delivers a PUE of 1.15 even in the hot Arizona climate, making it one of the most energy-efficient data centres in the desert Southwest. The closed-loop cooling technology eliminates water consumption – a critical advantage in Arizona, where water scarcity is a major long-term environmental challenge and operational concern for data centre operators. The Phoenix market has seen substantial hyperscale investment from Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Apple, and Meta, alongside major colocation providers including QTS, Flexential, and CyrusOne.
Edged (formerly Edged Energy) is part of Endeavour, established by Aligned Data Centers founder Jakob Carnemark, and pursues a strategy of developing net-zero, waterless data centres across high-demand US and European markets. The company's portfolio spans Missouri, Arizona, Texas, Iowa, Ohio, Illinois, Georgia, and multiple European locations in Spain, Portugal, and upcoming developments. The Phoenix/Mesa facility is designed to serve the growing demand for AI-ready, sustainability-focused data centre capacity in the rapidly expanding Arizona market.
