Edged Data Centers - New Albany, Ohio
210,000 sqft, $250M waterless data centre in New Albany, Ohio. 15-year tax abatement, serving Columbus's premier data centre hub.
Edged Data Centers (formerly Edged Energy) is developing a 210,000-square-foot (19,510 sqm) data centre at 6385 New Albany Road East in New Albany, Ohio. The $250 million project, filed under Edged Columbus LLC, received a 15-year 100 percent real property tax abatement from the New Albany City Council, reflecting the economic significance of the investment to the local community.
New Albany is situated within the Columbus metropolitan area and has emerged as one of the most significant data centre clusters in the United States, attracting investment from hyperscalers and specialist operators. The site's 15-acre parcel on New Albany Road East positions the facility within this established technology corridor, providing access to the extensive fibre and power infrastructure that has developed to serve the area's data centre community.
The facility employs Edged's proprietary ThermalWorks waterless cooling system, which eliminates conventional evaporative cooling and reduces operational water consumption to near zero. The cooling system supports rack densities up to 70kW for air cooling and 200kW for liquid cooling, making the New Albany facility capable of handling the most demanding AI and HPC workloads without the environmental impact associated with traditional data centre cooling approaches.
