Edged Data Centers - Mesa, Arizona
126,000 sqft waterless-cooled data centre in Mesa, Phoenix metro area, Arizona. PUE 1.15 in desert climate.
Edged Data Centers is developing a data centre on a 14-acre site in the Mesa area of Phoenix, Arizona. The 126,000-square-foot (11,705 sqm) facility is designed with Edged's signature waterless cooling system, which delivers superior power usage effectiveness of 1.15 even in Phoenix's extreme desert climate, a key differentiator in a market where most data centres rely heavily on water for cooling.
The Phoenix metro area is one of the fastest-growing data centre markets in the United States, driven by its favourable business environment, low land costs, and substantial renewable energy potential. Mesa, situated to the east of Phoenix, has attracted investment from a range of operators, with its industrial land base and power infrastructure making it a competitive location within the broader Greater Phoenix market.
Edged's waterless cooling technology, developed by its sister company ThermalWorks, is capable of supporting air-cooled rack densities of up to 70kW and liquid-cooled densities up to 200kW. This positions the Mesa facility to serve the rapidly growing demand for AI inference and HPC workloads, which require high power densities that traditional air-cooled facilities struggle to accommodate.
