Econet Wireless Data Centre in Harare is the primary infrastructure hub of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, the country's largest private telecommunications operator. The facility supports Econet's nationwide 4G/LTE mobile network, EcoCash mobile money platform β which serves millions of Zimbabweans β and its growing range of digital financial services.
The data centre operates to high availability standards with multiple redundant power feeds, UPS systems, and diesel generator backup capacity designed to maintain operations through Zimbabwe's challenging power supply environment. It hosts mission-critical systems including the EcoCash mobile money clearing platform, Econet's BSS/OSS systems, and the Liquid Intelligent Technologies peering infrastructure.
Econet Wireless Data Centre also functions as a colocation facility for select enterprise customers, offering proximity to Econet's high-capacity fibre backbone that spans Zimbabwe and connects to regional submarine cable systems via Liquid Intelligent Technologies.
