The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) operates a world-class supercomputer facility in Bologna, Italy, hosting a multi-petaflops Atos BullSequana XH2000 cluster. The system features AMD EPYC processors, Mellanox InfiniBand (200 Gb/s) networking and over 91 PB of DDN EXAScaler storage. The facility uses direct liquid cooling for exceptional energy efficiency and also hosts the Common Cloud Infrastructure supporting European weather and climate services including the Copernicus Data Store.
