The Destination Earth Data Bridge (DestinE Data Lake) is a critical digital infrastructure component providing seamless access to Destination Earth Digital Twins data and a large number of external data spaces, implemented by EUMETSAT. The platform supports near-data processing to maximise throughput and service scalability, implementing big data distributed workflows for climate and Earth observation data from ECMWF, ESA, and EUMETSAT, as well as EU Copernicus data. The Data Lake enables discovery, access, and Big Data processing services, facilitating harmonised access to massive amounts of environmental and meteorological datasets.
