The site is situated in close proximity to an operational electrical substation, enabling Phase I energisation targeted for Q2 2026. The facility has been designed to accommodate small-to-mid-scale artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) workloads, making use of pre-fabricated, modular construction techniques that allow for faster deployment timelines compared to traditional hyperscale developments.
The Houston site forms part of Dataprana's broader strategic pivot from cryptocurrency mining operations toward AI-ready infrastructure hosting. Managed through the company's dedicated land and power division, Prana Energy, the site was secured as one of two complementary parcels in the Houston area totalling a combined 92MW. Full energisation across both sites is projected for mid-to-late 2027, with the facility designed to serve enterprise customers requiring rapidly available compute capacity.
