DataBank is building a major multi-building colocation campus in Red Oak, Texas, with $2bn in construction financing and 60MW in the latest building phase.
DataBank's Red Oak Campus in Red Oak, Texas, is a large-scale multi-building colocation data centre campus in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, south of the city of Dallas. The campus is DataBank's flagship new-build development, with construction financing of $2 billion secured in 2026 β among the largest colocation project financings in US history. The fourth building at the campus is under construction, adding 60MW of IT capacity to the existing infrastructure.
DataBank secured a $650 million upsize of its Red Oak construction financing in June 2026, bringing total committed financing to $2 billion and enabling continued acceleration of the campus build-out. The company simultaneously closed an $800 million corporate revolving credit facility, reflecting strong lender confidence in DataBank's business model and long-term growth strategy. Founded in 2005, DataBank operates more than 65 data centres across 25 US metro markets.
Red Oak offers strategic advantages including lower land costs than central Dallas, access to ERCOT grid infrastructure, and proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth technology corridor. The campus is designed to support cloud, enterprise, and AI workloads, with high-density power configurations and carrier-neutral connectivity. DataBank's Red Oak development is representative of the growing trend of large-scale campus colocation builds in secondary Texan locations to meet surging data centre demand.
