Portuguese water utility Águas do Douro e Paiva (AdDP) is investing nearly €300,000 in a new disaster recovery data center to strengthen resilience of systems supporting water supply to approximately 1.8 million people in northern Portugal. The facility features high-availability architecture with full redundancy in power, UPS, climate control, and communications. Interconnection with the main data center is provided via AdDP's proprietary fibre-optic network.
