Rebellions, initially making its mark in South Korea, is planning to take its rack-scale AI platforms to international markets. They aim to introduce cutting-edge compute solutions without the need for exotic cooling systems, making integration into existing infrastructures more convenient. Established in 2020, Rebellions focuses on developing AI acceleration solutions that have already found numerous applications in Korea. According to Marshall Choy, Rebellions’ chief business officer, their main clientele includes telcos, service providers, and enterprises, deploying applications from call centers to surveillance systems. The company is leveraging its experience from domestic success to expand operations into regions like Japan, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, and the US. With the recent rebranding of their Rebel Quad accelerators to Rebel100, Rebellions is poised to grow further with products like RebelRacks and RebelPods, which are designed to scale efficiently. Their processor technology, leveraging Samsung’s chiplet architecture, promises substantial performance gains without the prohibitive needs for advanced cooling solutions seen in some competitor offerings. As they continue international expansion, Rebellions is backed by a $400m pre-IPO funding round, with plans possibly to file for an IPO by next year.
