FIRST PHASE TO DELIVER 1000 RACK CAPACITY

India-based data center company, CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, has just announced the groundbreaking of its new data center in Tech City Park, Guwahati, Assam, northeast of India.

Set to be developed in collaboration with the Government of Assam, the new CtrlS data center in Assam is designed to be built across a three acre site and will have a capacity to host over 1,000 racks on the delivery of the first phase. Upon full development, the Assam facility is expected to have over 2,000 rack capacity.

“At CtrlS, we stay committed to build world-class data centre infrastructure in the State of Assam and Northeast India and provide best-in-class services to the government, enterprises, small and medium enterprises by bringing the applications closer to the end-users in the State and the northeastern region,” said Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and CEO of CtrlS Datacenters Ltd.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, the IT Minister of Assam, Keshab Mahanta laid the foundation stone for the new datacenter which was witnessed by other officials including Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Assam; Ramendra Narayan Kalita, Chairman of Amtron; Sridhar Pinnapureddy, Founder and CEO of CtrlS Datacenters; and Anurag Goyal, IAS, Principal Secretary, Assam.

In line with the “Digital Assam” initiative of the Government of Assam, CtrlS stated that its new data center in Guwahati is set to provide colocation services for cloud, e-commerce, digital payment, digital classroom, OTT, CDN, ISPs, smart cities to support the Government of Assam, enterprises, and SMEs across the Northeast.
