FEATURES 200,000 SQUARE FEET SPACE
Data center provider, SUNeVision Holdings Ltd. has just announced the grand opening of its hyperscale data center, located in Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong.
Codenamed MEGA Gateway, the new data center facility features 200,000 square feet of space and 20MW power capacity with on-premise and dedicated-use 132kV substation, and is designed to meet the needs of cloud services, telco carriers, ISP and high power-density customers.

“We have developed MEGA Gateway to supplement MEGA-i and provide customers opportunities for expansion and upgrades. SUNeVision aspires to support Hong Kong to further enhance its position as a regional data hub, and this is important for Hong Kong in becoming an international innovation and technology center in line with the National 14th Five-Year Plan.’
As announced, MEGA Gateway is the seventh data center on SUNeVision’s portfolio, and latest addition to SUNeVision’s interconnected MEGA Campus, complementing MEGA-i’ position in connectivity. The new data center is claimed to be launched as one of the first movers in new hyperscale projects in the Tsuen Wan and Kwai Chung districts to meet the increasing connectivity demands in the region.

Also in Hong Kong, Big Data Exchange (BDx), recently announced its plan to develop new 16MW data center facility in Kwai Chung District. Codenamed HKG8, the new data center will be sited in the upcoming high-tech industrial area being developed by Sino Group, a leading property developer in Hong Kong, with the intention of serving hyperscale and enterprise customers.
