ADDS NEW 13.5MW FACILITY

Norway-based colocation data center provider, Green Mountain, has just announced that it has completed the construction of a new 13.5 MW data center facility in its OSL1-Enebakk data center campus.

This new facility will be the third data center on the 75,000 Meter Square campus, and is to deliver a total of 13.5MW of IT load intended for colocation. The facility is also intended for multi-tenant usage, in contrast to the first two 4MW data center which are both housing a single tenant. The first client is expected to move in by the end of January.

“We still experience strong interest from the market. Being able to offer a sustainable data center operated on 100% renewable energy is especially attractive for international clients. The site is also ideal both in terms of power availability, connectivity and proximity to the Norwegian capital. In addition, we designed this data center with flexibility in mind as we wanted to accommodate a broad set of clients’ needs. Customization is the key word,” said Tor Kristian Gyland, CEO of Green Mountain.

Built according to a Tier III standard, the new 10,000 Meter Square three-story building, offers 1,300 Meter Square of white space on each floor – several of which is already been reserved for several clients, as stated by the company.

“In light of the global challenges concerning material availability and delivery delays, it is a great achievement to deliver according to plan. We have cooperated well with CTS to find alternative solutions when incidents beyond our control have affected the progress. I would like to commend everyone involved in the project for an extraordinary effort.” Said Terje Huseby, Chief Project Officer in Green Mountain.

Green Mountain announced the opening of the second 4MW data center facility on the Oslo campas in August 2021. As at then, the new facility doubles the existing capacity at the site which was just 9 months after the opening of the first data center on the Oslo site.
