A TOTAL OF 5.5 HECTARE
Poland based data center services provider, Atman has just announced that it has finalized the purchase of a plot of land in Duchnice, a village in the municipality of Ożarów Mazowiecki, for its third data center in Warsaw.
Codenamed Warsaw-3 (WAW-3) campus, the new site is proposed to house 3 buildings containing a total of 36 data halls – nearly 19,000 sqm of colocation space and to deliver over 58MW of which the company plan to dedicate 43 MW of power exclusively to feed IT equipment for their customers.
“Atman’s completion of the purchase of the land for its fourth data center location follows our long-term investment strategy. In a broader perspective, it is also a contribution to the development of the domestic data center market, which is attractive to customers of all scales and competitive when compared to mature Western markets,” said Sławomir Koszołko, President of the Management Board of Atman sp. z o.o.
“This strategy furthers our mission: to provide continuous access to data. We are able to implement it effectively, commissioning more colocation facilities and providing services of uncompromising quality there.”
WAW-3 campus is designed to include separate security zones for each colocation building and full logistics infrastructure, including parking lots, truck access roads, loading docks and warehouses, and for the operational launch, Atman plans to prepare 1 of the 3 buildings, including customized data halls for customers to lease.
Also in Warsaw, Vantage Data Centers recently announced the opening of its first data center campus in Poland, located in Warsaw. The first facility on the 12-acre (five-hectare) data center campus is planned to offer 48MW of critical IT capacity across 390,000 square feet (36,000 square meters) via two data center buildings upon full development.
Google Cloud also announced the opening of its new region in Warsaw, Poland sometimes last year. The facility opened with three availability zones (or data centers) and the facility is expected to provide customers operating in Poland and the wider CEE with lower latency and high performance of their cloud-based workloads and data.
