THE COMPANY’S 14TH DATA CENTER IN THE U.S.

Data center and cloud service provider Expedient, has announced the opening of a 32,000 square foot data center facility in Denver, which is targeted at customers in the western United States.

The new 2.5MW facility, which has the capacity to support up to 31,000 physical servers, offers Expedient’s suite of multi-cloud services and capabilities including its “Cloud Different vision”, launched back in April. This Denver data center also brings the company’s total location in the United States to 14.

“Expedient has been on an incredible trajectory and the opening of our Denver data center is another significant milestone,” said Bryan Smith, Senior VP & Chief Strategy Officer at Expedient.

“We see a great opportunity in Denver to provide businesses of all sizes, with an a la carte menu of IT capabilities and services that enables them to make the most of their existing IT investments while moving to the cloud. We’re building out our presence in the western US and getting a foothold in Denver is key to that expansion.”

This Denver data center is the third on the row of Expedient’s new market expansion plans, having opened 3 facilities in less than 45 days.

Last month, Expedient announced the opening of its new Milwaukee data center in the City of Franklin, Wisconsin. This facility targets customer demands for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) offerings in the central United States with the delivery of 1.2MW critical power capacity and 8,500 square feet of space that can house more than 8,000 physical servers.

The second recent expansion is the opening of the company’s 2.4MW data center in Phoenix, Arizona. Opened earlier this month, the new Phoenix data center spans 45,000 square feet with the ability to house 17,000 physical servers, further expanding Expedient’s portfolio of colocation, public, private, or multi-cloud services.

According to Expedient, all of its 14 data centers are designed to meet or exceed the criteria of a Tier 3 data center as defined by the Uptime Institute’s Data Center Classification System. The company adds that all 14 data center locations will act as an onramp to the cloud by providing access to its full portfolio of capabilities and services.
