GAINING OWNERSHIP OF FIVE DATA CENTERS

London-headquartered investment manager Amber Infrastructure Group, has just acquired a majority stake in the data center business of iseek Pty Ltd for an undisclosed amount.

Through a network of five data centers across Brisbane, Northern Queensland and Sydney, iseek provides data center, cloud and connectivity services to a diverse range of Enterprise and Government customers. This is coming less than 2 years after the company expanded its data center portfolio with a second flagship facility at Brisbane Airport and a Cyclone-proof facility in Townsville.

This acquisition expands Amber’s digital infrastructure portfolio to include Australia for the first time, further showcasing the company’s interest in sourcing investment opportunities in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to this acquisition, Amber manages a global portfolio of digital investments, including Greenergy – a recently acquired data center platform in Central and Eastern Europe as well as in the UK, as manager to the National Digital Infrastructure Fund.

As announced, iseek’s existing management team, led by CEO and shareholder-founder Jason Gomersall, will continue to work with Amber to take the Australian data center platform on the next stage of its growth, managing the business and operations.
