IMMEDIATE AVAILABILITY OF 4.1MW CAPACITY

Colocation, network, and cloud services provider Digital Fortress, has today announced the opening of its Richmond, Virginia data center campus, a facility planned to provide up to 100MW of IT load capacity.

Having invested over $100 million in the Virginia campus to date, the company’s flagship data center features a fully built out 250,000 square foot tier III infrastructure with a day-one load capacity of 4.1MW available and an expansion space that supports up to 25MW of total power. With future expansion plans, Digital Fortress will further leverage adjacent land to support the construction of up to 500,000 square foot data center facilities, increasing the 100-acre campus capacity up to 100MW.

As announced, the Virginia campus is connected with a newly built diverse multi-duct fiber system offering with low-latency connectivity to hubs in Ashburn and Virginia Beach, and onward direct connectivity to subsea fiber systems serving Europe and South America.

Based on the opening, the new Digital Fortress data center is now available and its services are further served via the company’s affiliated businesses including Chirisa, Dataplex and Viatel.
