EXPANDING ITS PORTFOLIO ACROSS SEVEN MARKETS

Edge colocation data center provider DartPoints, has just signed a definitive agreements to acquire Immedion, a provider of colocation, cloud, and data center services with facilities across South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio and Indiana.

The acquisition which is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021 will more than double DartPoints’ edge colocation data center footprint across Seven Edge markets, expanding the company’s solutions in about six states across the US.

The agreement to acquire Immedion is set to bolster DartPoints’ efforts in bringing its edge interconnection colocation and data centers further into tier 2 and tier 3 markets, offering carrier-neutral interconnection points, as well as access to content, cloud, applications, and other networks.

DartPoints secured an investment fund from Astra Capital Management in May 2020, and has since then, launched an aggressive plan to expand its edge interconnection solutions to diverse markets. The company in August 2020 opened its North Liberty, Eastern Iowa edge colocation data center; enhanced its regional interconnection capabilities in Texas with LOGIX Fiber Networks; and acquired Metro Data Centers (MDC) in Ohio.
