PLANS ANOTHER TWO IN MOSCOW

Moscow headquartered digital services provider Rostelecom, has just announced the launch of a new Tier III data center in Novosibirsk, Russia.

The new facility is developed to offer 3MW of power capacity with the ability to accommodate 300 client racks across three data halls. With this data center, Rostelecom intends to provide its full range of services, including colocation, telecommunication services, the IaaS cloud infrastructure, backup and recovery solutions, administration and other services.

“The regional expansion of our high performing data center network is the priority for this year. In addition to this new facility in Novosibirsk, we plan to commission second queues in the Yekaterinburg and Udomlya data centers, as well as to start construction in Nizhniy Novgorod,” said Pavel Kaplunov, Vice President for Cloud Services at Rostelecom.

By creating resilient infrastructures and ensuring seamless operations we aim to put in place a unified quality benchmark across all of our facilities. In 2019, Rostelecom Data Centers launched a new facility in Udomlya, Russia, which marks the commencement of its data center commercial operations. The Udomlya data center is sited on the grounds of Kalininskaya Nuclear Power Plant, a Rosenergoatom property in the Tver region in Russia.

For this year, the company further announced that it is preparing for the launch of two new facilities in Moscow, a data center with a capacity to accommodate 330 racks and the first queue of a Tier IV certified data center for 500 racks respectively.

Together, Rostelecom has its footprints in Moscow with regional data centers in Saint Petersburg, Udomlya, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.
