REDESIGNED TO SUPPORT COMPUTE-INTENSIVE WORKLOADS

San Diego based colocation and cloud provider ScaleMatrix, has just announced the launch of its Enhanced ScaleCloud performance cloud platform.

The new CPU-Based ScaleCloud is a redesigned implementation of the company’s high-performance cloud platform, which is built to suit the latest VMware advancements, and support compute-intensive workloads such as AI, IoT and HPC.

“We have architected the ScaleMatrix ScaleCloud platform from the ground up, to address the needs of enterprises and organizations that require high-performance computing without the trade-offs that have previously made moving those types of workloads to the cloud rigid, inefficient, expensive, and too often, impractical,” said Brent Beverly, Chief Operating Officer of ScaleMatrix.

“With ScaleCloud, we are offering the fastest, most flexible and most efficient CPU-based Cloud solution for AI, IoT and HPC workloads available on the market today.”

ScaleMatrix new ScaleCloud platform utilizes Intel Xeon Scalable Platinum Processors, running on HPE Synergy 12,000 frames. The company combines this enhanced performance cloud platform with its patented Dynamic Density Control™ (DDC) platform to provide its solutions to modern businesses and satisfy intensive computational needs.

In addition, ScaleMatrix also introduced what it termed the industry’s first “processor age guarantee.” According to the announcement, this is a part of the ScaleCloud offering which aims at ensuring sustained performance and compatibility for emerging applications. It involves refreshing the hardware every two years.

In March this year, ScaleMatrix extended its data center capabilities to the EDGE with the acquisition of Instant Data Centers, formerly Elliptical Mobile Solutions, and an Arizona based company which focused on providing micro data centers for the Edge.
